Maybe one you programs is going nuts because it hasn't been updated for 10.9. So just go to /Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor and see what program is running away.

I upgraded my MBP 2011 from ML to Mavericks and fan seems ok. Did you upgrade or clean install? Might be worth clean installing to see if the issue disappears. Might also be worth opening up your MBP and taking a can of compressed air to the fans/vents.
