Hello,

Ensign here, haven't been around for a very long time now, just the occasional post.

Anyway, here is my update - http://guy.wickenden.info/

I am now a full time Uni student studying Music Journalism, but I am hoping to become a full time musician when I get a chance. A few of my songs are available on my website, let me know what you think, and please try and answer my main question, what genre am I?

Thanks,
Ensign

Funk? Groove? I dunno, it's kinda too upbeat for either of those. :o

It's cool nonetheless, if you wanna claim that as your genre. :D

BTW, it's good to see you back. You probably have no idea who I am because I was merely a lurker when you were in your posts-per-day prime. :)

Hmm, I like the idea of my album sitting on its own in HMV in the cool section :)

If you guy's wanna know any sentiment being the songs, read on:

1. Way Into Inside - About the girl I love to pieces but don't have. Grr.

2. How Do You Need Me? - About my ex, and my subsequent drug problems after we split (I am not like that now)

3. Set In Motion - Dedicated to a 17 year old friend of mine who died suddenly a month ago.

4. Bin a Fool - An experiment with drum techniques and such, words about ex.

5. To Be - Dedicated to my love of night clubs, previous love of ecstasy and partly to test my new synth. (apologises for the section that begins at 1:17, the drum sound is pityful!)

Let me know what you peeps think, I am trying to gauge reaction as well as advertise myself :)

Ensign

ps. Its like I've never been away really, I have lurked for ages, and every now and again I feel moved to comment, I expect I'll comment more I have got my life on track :)

Pretty good stuff, could be a bit more polished. I like the direction you are going with it. Ever listen to Kenna- New Sacred Cow?

Hi, Ensign Paris. It's always nice to see one of the 4-digit-member-number members return to tell us what's new.

I asked a university student majoring in music to listen to your song samples and identify the genre, assuming it had to be classified as in the iTunes Music Store. It's subjective of course, but he said the closest was Pop.
