I just loaded Mavericks GM this morning. I notice that the option to "Always open folders in a new window" is missing from Finder Preferences. Is there anyway around this deletion:confused:

Thanks

I believe it's been changed to"open folders in new tab instead of new window" or something like that.

Yup.

Yep, I know that. As I said I've installed Mavericks. I don't like the new Finder Preferences. My question is there a way to "Always open folders in new windows" like we used to be able to do:confused:

^^^^No, again I want to be able to open new windows while the window I opened the new window from stays open.

If you hide the Finder toolbar (cmd alt T) then new folders will open in new windows regardless of the setting. At least on Mountain Lion.

So far, this is, for me. the worst change (deletion) I have found in Mavericks. But, I have only been using the new OS for a couple of days now.
