My old pc uses 2x no name 512MB PC2700 ram. I donīt know the specs, but I wonder if it is likely that I could use other for rev A mini?
If it is not likely, I will either buy Rev A for 380 euros and Crucial ram or the latest Mini from Apple for 470 euros. What would be a better deal?

Ya your RAM would likly work. BUT Mac Minis have 1 RAM slot and come with 512mb so you would have no room for you other 512mb chips

Thanks!
I think the Mini doesnīt need more than 512mb since it will be used for office apps, mail, internet etc.

My mini has 512Mb RAM, and is used for a variety of tasks including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, iTunes, video editing with Final Cut Express and email, web browsing etc. It works fine. Photoshop could do with more RAM, so I limit it's use to smallish files, and Final Cut is a little slow in rendering, but that's not uncommon. All in all, the mini works pretty well with 512Mb - just don't try extensive multitasking!
