I think this belongs in this section...

Took me a little while to build it (a little under a week), but here it is. I don't think I'll build another one for a while, its kind of a PITA. But I am going to be building a much simpler circuit kinda soon, the bazz fuzz. But thats for a later time, here is what I have now ;D

The Woodstock Fuzz

The pedal on the right is my very first pedal, its a volume pedal with a 100pF treble bypass on the pot. Basically it was used for a short time (2 weeks) while I figured out how to build a distortion/overdrive/fuzz pedal of any sort. You leave your amps OD on, then when you kick this on, it cuts 90% of the distortion so that you can play "clean". Works really well actually.

Back to the Fuzz!

Built from this schematic:

Excuse my lack of guitar skills on the sound clips, I'm still a newb lol

Awesome!

I'd like to try this someday.

If you are any good at soldering, its not too bad. The bazz fuzz is easier though.

I would really love to do this. Seems like it would not only be cool to have, but also helpful to learn how to build. How hard would you honestly say it was to build? How many bugs/problems did you have? About how many hours did it take? I have basic soldering skills and I'm relatively handy so I figure I might give it a shot.

THat is so cool, now I would like to try something like that. I would start with something simpler though like Volume pedal.
Any who, how much did this cost you you in the end: parts, electronics; and where did you get them?

I'll bet most of it could be found at Radio Shack, otherwise...Mouser has EVERYTHING.

Radio Shack is fine for the volume pedal, it cost me around $10 for everything including the enclosure (not counting paint though.)

The best place to get stuff online is http://www.smallbearelec.com , they deal specifically with pedal stuff.

Here is the schematic for the volume pedal (its at the bottom):

You actually don't even need the cap for the volume pedal, this was designed to specifically cut distortion and keep the highs, thats what the cap was for.

On a side note, I forgot to say that Radio Shack (at least mine) doesn't have the stompbox switch (DPDT button)...you could still make a box with a knob for remote volume control, but it really wouldn't do anything special since you could just adjust it on your guitar.
