TV Guide Channel crashes

I was flipping through the stations, when I came across the TV Guide Channel and noticed the preview at the top had no sound with it, then a moment later it crashed and this screen (posted at the bottom) appeared! Hilarious! The Channels computer crashed! Maybe they should switch to a mac.....

I remember going to lunch about a month ago at a local bar/restaurant and they have the Quickdraw lotto (which can be played all day every 2 minutes) and all the monitors had the "blue screen of death"

It was hilarious.

Oh, yes. Classic.

I have been to Barnes&Noble on several occasions, and their "Scan to Listen" CD stations all had the blue screen of death, but one time it showed a similar desktop, with an error-window. Also, at the Virgin Megastore in Dallas the same thing happened.

Allthough I have seen TV Guide's sound go off a couple times, that
has never happened. THey do need to get a mac. And even if
the mac did crash at least viewers wouldn't have to look at that. ;)

haha, that is the funniest thing I've seen all day. I can't belive that happened.
They should really switch to macs, I mean how bad those that look!:eek:

I once had a Windows error message (the text, not the actual window) come through an error message on my digital cable box... something about Video On Demand wasn't working, and it gave me a Fatal Exception...

i would have laughed my ass off about the TVguide channel... i hate that channel anyway... thanks for getting us a picture :)

hehehe, I know what you mean, the damn things are everywhere! Once on the way to work I saw a Dr. Watson on a cash machine then on the display at the train station telling you when the various trains were due, brilliant!

sometimes when I'm looking for something to watch I'll flip to the TV Guide channel for a bit and pretty often when they are showing the movies that are on the sound starts to cut out as the hosts are babling about the films and then the screen will freeze, then when the preset time for the movie ads is up the screen will start up again and start advertising some other show. I dont know...It hasnt happened lately, maybe they fixed it. You would think that they would have some sort of script running so that if there was an error it would handle it by showing some commercials or something...think how embarrased you would be to be the operator of the computer when it crashed. I think that the best thing would be if the program crashed out without the guy noticing and everyone waching saw him looking at porn, think of the scandal...

oh and the channel was still that way today, who ever is in charge of that department should be fired.....very embarassing I'd say.

A few years back our cable company had an electric bulliten board channel with job listings, you could dial a local number, and enter a 3 digit code from the screen, and see it appear on the screen as you dialed, then it'd pull that info up from the database and show you on the TV. I remember one day tuning to that channel and seeing somebody configuring stuff via a DOS prompt for like 10 minutes. It was pretty interesting.
