Camera doesn't work for skype

After upgrading to OS X Mavericks, I found a problem where if I was skyping with someone, my camera on my MBP would turn off after a random amount of time. If I tried turning it back on in Skype, it wouldn't work unless I restarted Skype itself. Is this a problem for anyone else?

I have the same issue

I have the same issue, but using the hangout. Camera doesn`t work. Any time.
No solution yet. Until installing mavericks last night it was working well.

I'm using Skype with MV and the camera works perfectly on my MBA from 2012. What kind of a MAC do you use ?
