After upgrading (from Mt Lion 10.85) on my mid 2011 iMac, iPhoto did not bring the iPhoto library along...(only had an Aperture Library
A knowledgeable Applecare iPhoto expert told me to look at a Time Machine (Mt Lion) BU for an iPhoto Library...Voila...it was there!
Copied that iPhoto library by coping it to the desktop and then dropping it on the Dock iPhoto icon and all was well again!
Interesting but that is all that I have noticed in 2 days now!
