Morning forum,

I have built a robot with a Raspberry Pi attached controlling the 2 motors thus controlling the robot. The Pi has a wifi antenna so can be controlled over wifi and also has the Pi camera attached.

I would like to create an iOS app to send information over wifi to the Pi to control the robot with the end result being able to send battery percentage and the live camera feed back to the iOS app as well.

I have basic coding knowledge, with Xcode being my software of choice.

Does anyone know of anyone who has tried this thing before and if so could you link me towards them?

Also is there any resources that anyone recommends that I read be it web pages or videos?

I have access to an iOS developer account so that's not a problem.

Thank you to anyone that can help

Chris :)

You could start with parrot AR Drone since the iOS App
and Drone sofware are both open source, and the Drone is Linux based.
In that case, the Drone is a wifi hotspot that the iOS device connects to.

Small embedded web servers that have external outputs to control home automation,
which is what I'm working on now that hopefully ends up with an accompanying iOS App.
This is largely web based.
