Have not opened it yet. Will sell for 1075.00 plus shipping plus PayPal fees.
This is a new in the box 12" Combo Drive Powerbook 1.5ghz G4 with 512mb memory. NO trades. Sorry.
It's the last and best PowerPc Apple will make in this size.
Oh, I MIGHT trade for a new in box iPod plus cash, but that is new as in SEALED in the box, as the PB is.

i think you should state the reason you would want to sell a sealed unit, why not return it, this does seem a little fishy

So no credible story behind your intention to sell? (Beyond that you're well into your menstrual cycle.)

600 posts and that is all you can come up with?
i think these people would like a bit more of a reason before
they give somebody that kind of money.

Huh? I'm selling it. Or not. What has my Mac articulateness got to do with it? You know, I'm outta here -- this is the weirdest response to an honest feeler post. This is spoiling MR for me -- all this cheapo crudeness in response to an honest and legit thing to sell. Yuck. Merry Christmas to you and your girlfriend.
And see you on eBay.

I'm curious what does the reason have to do with it. I don't conduct trades or purchases based on a reason why it is being sold. I base it on my interest, seller's references (heatware), and conditions of the deal. IMHO the reason merits little weight. Her response was she preferred the IBook. Why wasn't that adequate? And yes feel free to check my heatware. I have done lots of deals, all went perfect. I just do not get why the hassle over her reason..

people want to make sure they arent trying to be scammed. Hey I dont blame them really.. Selling a new sealed powerbook for 500 less than retail? why not return it? people have reason to be curious.

Uh, again, do your homework before posting. It's not 500 less than retail.

Weird weird weird to get so much hassle. If it wasn't Christmas time, I'd use some profanity.

Thanks for the gentelmanly response, CTSxViper.
Very weird to be quizzed and haggled like some third world street marketplace vultures. If I wanted to scam, why would I go to site that I love so much?

Seriously. If she was going to scam people, she'd go to eBay. Much bigger market there and you get away with it too! -.-'
Have you seen the return policies for some stores? You might as well sell your soul for some of the crap they put you through! Espically if it was a gift and you dont have the receipt and it was bought before the holiday rush! I work in a mall, so I know how hectic it is.

You should keep it. It's a sweet little machine and you'll be glad to have it. I've got one and I love it. You're pretty lucky to have someone who gives you gifts like that.
Have fun with it!

Glad to see this came to a happy ending :) I was getting worried there for awhile. I hope you enjoy your 12" PowerBook California... and I apologize for any rudeness you endured during your attempted sale. Sometimes people just get wrapped up in trying to avoid being scammed and come across rude. Hope to see you continue on in the MR community.

I hate to sound rude, but now I think that we should http://media.amacgenius.com/forums/lock.gif this thread so we don't get it off track into a general discussion over the PowerBook.

I'm interested. Just wondering, where in California are you located. If you are in SoCal, could we possible do the transaction in person? Thanks.

I hate to burst your bubble JMT529 but California stated that she was going to keep the PowerBook, although it's up to her if she still wants it or not.
