im thinking of buying the "Shure PG48 Performance Gear Vocal Microphone" for podcasts and singing. i cant seem to figure out if it will work on the mac (powerbook) and how it connects to the computer.anyone have any answers?is it a good mic?the reviews say its decent for the price which is 40$

The PG48 will be fine for podcasts. Any Shure mic will, really. To connect the mic to your Powerbook, you're going to need a cable that goes from an XLR to a 1/8" connection. Here's one I found:

Just plug the XLR end into your mic, the 1/8" end into the audio input jack of your Powerboo, and you're all set!

The PG line is the lower end, but it's still shure and it'll be fine for podcasts.
