He's got a point. Several of them actually. Apple can get away with things that no one else can because they are Apple.

OH and - the Cube, for example, or the not-ready-for-prime- time Newton - only serves to reinforce the edginess that is a major element of the Apple brand identity.

I'm sorry to say but Apple hasn't been edgy for years. Most of their hardware products are "inside the box". Nothing edgy about them.
