Don't worry, I plan on it, if this is indeed the case! I'll have to check it out myself... We already get a good deal since our $ is weaker than the US $, but this is even better! (Plus, our $ is slowly creeping up to parity nowadays it would seem...)

There's like 50 CDs @ $7.99 CAD, but I can't find any songs @ 79 cents. Anyone?
The albums are kinda useless for me, the only one I ever bought from iTunes was Kill Bill 2.

hmmm, it looks like it's just the albums for $7.99, doesn't it?
No matter, I'm just planning on buying full albums anyway

I just bought the Beck album, it really is great.
Does anybody have the Controller.Controller album (X-Amounts)? Any opinions of it? I downloaded the free single a while back and really liked it, and now the album is on sale for $7.99

It would be nice if there more offers like this, especially here in Europe. In the UK it's 79p per song, that's close to $1.40 US or $1.55 in Canada. It's even cheaper if you buy from the other Eurozone stores than the UK iTMS, (€0.99 in Eurozone and about €1.20 in the UK).
It would be nice to see promotions across the world and I see this as a strong forerunner to tiered pricing by Apple.

Tempting, though I live in the US.
Do they have iTMS gift cards in the great white north? Might be a way to get an iTMS.ca account without a Canadian credit card. (A relative is coming down to visit next week from Toronto... )
The link from the iTunes didn't seem to work to say where you can get them.

That only works if they already have an iTMS account & valid form of payment in Canada. What I meant was the gift cards you can pick up (in the US) at Target and the like. Maybe Future Shop? Amazon.ca doesn't carry them unlike Amazon.com.

Sorry; I had misread your original post - I thought you were going to use your relative's Canadian credit card to make an account... and I guess just pay them for whatever you're buying using their card.

Not overly knocked out by the selection -- IYO, what albums should I buy and why, from the 50 offered?
I grew up on 70's rock, not into hip-hop, like jazz but not bebop, like some country, love melody and vocal harmony.

There's a CD each by Johnny Cash, Stevie Wonder, Neil Diamond and Diana Krall. Dunno how if you're into them enough to warrant buying an entire CD...
