Hey everyone,

I want to trade my Maxtor OneTouch 120GB USB 2.0 External HD. It's the one that's aluminum on the outside with blue plastic. It looks like:

It looks brand new, since I hardly used it. I have the CD and box somewhere. If anyone's interested I'll find them.

I really want a FW400 and USB 2.0 External HD. It needs to have 2 FW ports on the back for daisy chaining (iBook only has 1 FW port :(). I don't really mind which brand. Homemade is OK (probably better actually, since I could pop it open and replace drive if needed) but either type is perfectly fine.

Don't really care about size that much, needs to be more than 80GB probably. I'd like the drive to look kinda nice, since I think the Maxtor does. I really like good looking stuff. :) However that's not that important, so offer anything!

I can take real pictures if anyone wants.

Ryan

I would just buy a new enclosure off newegg.com and stick the Maxtor drive in it. Saves you the hassle of selling or trading.

Yeah, I thought about that, but I don't think I really want to break this drive open (there's no way to really open it) and put it it another enclosure.

Does anyone know how working on an iMovie project off this drive would be? I do it on a FW drive and it works fine, but would USB2 work OK for that as well?

Yes actually, there is a way to open it. I've done it before. :p
