I'm hoping its a true surprise and something no one expects. Which could be ok, but most likely it won't be something everyone is going to want to have.

I'm gonna be safe here and vote for "nothing". We all know what happens when our expectations get built up and then we end up saying "That's IT?!" I know whatever Steve introduces tomorrow, I'll be jazzed. (Except for maybe those rumored pay iApp upgrades.)
"Beyond the Rumor Sites. Way Beyond." We'll never let Apple live that one down... so, would you like us to make even MORE outrageous rumors? That'll teach you to dance with us! :p

I voted for a tablet, purely because the last rumor to spring up usually has a better record of being correct.
Deep down, though, I don't think there will be a surprise. It's just too easy to get caught up in the hype...

i, too, like beej, voted for the tablet.
it would not surprise me, though.
hmm. did i vote wrong?
an apple branded cell phone, would really surprise me.
because i think there is no point in making one.

i think i would be surprised at any of these, with the exception of nothing.
none of them seem like a "sure thing" for success and they are fairly large risks...

You forgot to include an "other" option -- for those who think the surprise will be something that wasn't predicted.

I voted for nothing because all this speculation is just that. I believe the push will be more wider acceptance of OS X and not much more. I also believe the pay for upgrading iApps is a given and perhaps a new iApp along the lines of Logic Audio.
By expecting nothing, perhaps the disappointment will be hedged a little.

I think the BIG surprise will be that the PowerMacs will recieve their next update early (a speed bump to 1.5GHz and true DDR). The iMacs will be upgraded to 1.25GHz with a 19" screen option. :D Consequentially, the prices on the new PowerBooks will go down and the price of a 19" iMac will be higher than current price of $1999 for a 17" iMac. ;)

Hmmm... Job's Single Malt Whiskey, perhaps? :D
A browser would be reeeeal nice, cheaper iPod's would be better, osX for my aging 366mhz Pentium II would have me weeping with joy, but realistically...
I think Steve will unveil a juggleable iMac with holographic projection -- limit three per customer -- for crunching Folding@Home data packets, with much joviality and mirth, in order to bring a new generation of schoolchildren closer to science.

I voted for nothing. With having low expectations, hopefully I will be happy with what Steve and Woz will announce. The suspension builds, <24hrs till D-hour!

...iPod, iTablet, iPDA...what if it is all of them? Like iAllInOne: it could be done. Price...Applelike.
Turn cover upsidedown and it can be handwritten on. Maybe 6-8" screen, 30-50Gb disk. With 256Mb memory G3 so that price is not SO high...OS X inside...bluethooth and the usual.
They do win lottery. Sometimes...;)

I think an iPod 2 -- in color -- with SOME video capabilities, but more video clips and digital stills than movies. Basically a jazzed-up iPod, more evolution than revolution. But still would be nice!
"Mock up" attached, for what it's worth. (or not, if I can't figure out how to attach) :D
