Is it just me or is anyone else here sick to death of seeing people spell Microsoft with an $ instead of an s?

Is there any way to have the profanity filter include it as I find it more offensive than swearing to be honest. It's childish and sad and needs to be stopped.

Please don't use this thread as an excuse to bash Microsoft and/or Bill Gates as that is equally tiresome.

let people do what they want, what does it matter to you how stupid others make themselves look?

hell i just call them MS, but should would purge that too because it could be offensive to those that actually have MS.

I'm more offended by bad grammar and blatantly obvious misspelling than I am by a harmless bit of fun at the expense of a company that makes mediocr products. Perhaps one shouldn't be so highly sensitive to something that harms nothing...

I'm more annoyed by "MAC".. Though I do consciously have to refrain from spelling Microsoft alternatively, I refrain none-the-less.

It is a little annoying :) Perhaps the censor could change every use of Micro$oft to "Apple" - that'd lead to some interesting posts, and probably a heck of a lot of flaming :D

Note: Do the above only as an April Fools' joke.

Seriously though, it is a little annoying, but is it really worth arn tweaking the censor to change M$ to MS and Micro$oft to Microsoft?

Good thing that isn't blatantly obvious :D

But yes, I'm with you. I hate seeing "your retarded", "it's own", "they're computer" and stupid stuff like that.

Instead of inserting a bunch of *'s, maybe we should borrow a page from Jack Campbell and replace "Micro$oft" with "Fuzzy Bunny"

I'm the other way around.

Spelling it M$, Dull, PeeCee, etc. is more 'offensive' to me since it's intentional on the posters part.

"MAC" is a bit annoying too, but it's usually used out of ignorance, so I can forgive that (as long as it doesn't persist).

Well, Ok, really bad grammar and spelling can be a bit annoying too. Especially since it makes it harder to read the post.
