Do we need a sandbox for people to practice?
Is it a special type of page? Or do we just designate a page as the sandbox. I guess Mac_Guides:Sandbox might be the best way to go so it doesn't get included in the main article updates.

There's nothing special on the technical end, it's just a page.

Xy14 has created one.
The Wikipedia Sandbox (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sandbox) uses a cgi script to automatically reset its content to the default every 12 hours. Perhaps we should have something similar.

It would encourage me to get more involved with the Guides as I'm a little confused on how it all works — mind you it was just a cursory 5-10 min play one evening.
It's one thing to read or follow instructions, but another having a place to experiment in without ruining anything. I know that incorrect entries can be rolled back but I'd rather avoid making a mistake in the first place.
In the near future, I'd like to contribute some content in the Applications section and possibly elsewhere if I have anything of value to add.
