I have separate mp4 video, however for convenience, since they each go o only 7mins a segment, i'd like ti tie them all together into one large video..

Either it can be done from mp4, or from dvd, as that is the source originally.

Any software on mac that can do this ?

Ideally, a better way would be automatically convert and make one mp4 file from 7 segments without user intervention

iMovie should be able to do it for you. Import your .mp4 files into iMovie first. Then make a new project, drag your files to the timeline back-to-back and then Share the movie the way you want to save it.

If you have a Mac then you likely already have iMovie. It is very easy to combine clips in iMovie as that is what it was designed to do.

But if you want automation with no point and clicking then look at FFmpeg. This is the engine that Handbrake uses but it is available by itself. It will do what you want and runs on the terminal window. Look here www.ffmpeg.org

One trick that saves a LOT of typing is if you drag and drop a file from a finder window into terminal it types in the name of the file for you. It is otherwise nearly impossible to type this without a mistake. Drag and drop makes it fast.
