i was reading this in PC Mag in a Processor Time Line under 3Q of 2003:
"Motorola and IBM are going to each announce their own new chip architectures, each rumored to be the next Apple CPU (G5)."
i thought it was going to be a lot longer than this. I'm pretty exited myself, I think I'm going to work all summer to get some good money and wait for this sucker to get realeased!
What do you guys think it'll be like? :D

This is old news. As far as I know, Motorola is out and IBM is in. Yes, the Power 970, IBM's 64-bit chip, will be available in the 3rd quarter of this year. Check the links. ---> Click here (http://www-916.ibm.com/press/prnews.nsf/jan/1713CBA3CD35301085256C52004E3696) and here (http://www.macrumors.com/searcharticles.php3?searchterm=IBM). ;)

Maybe IBM might label the 970 as the G5, even though Moto's G5 Will never come because they caned it before it went into mass production because of _________ problems.
 Stupid Moto, we could of already HAD G5's by now if they followed through with there planes, we might not have been so far back wating for IBM's 970.
Ech.
