I just bought this, connected it to the router and nothing, it can't connect to the network, the link light isn't even on.
Wireless works, but I need it to be on a wired network.

I changed the ports on the router, nothing
Reset the Apple TV to factory, still nothing, there is no option to configure a static IP or anything
I did update the software ont he ATV, did Apple remove wired network (Ethernet) option?
How do I enable it again, it's not even in the settings/network menu. I only get wireless.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Problem solved...

Most of my Ethernet cables have a boot, apperantly this does not allow for a good solid connection to the Ethernet interface on the Apple TV.
Had a cable that didn't have the boot, and all is good now.
