My hardware is supported, so I might give it a try, is it worth the hastle?

Sadly, this is illegal, and so you may not get a very positive response experience here. Possibly as soon as January, you will be able to find out more about how OS X runs on x86 architectures... ;) Or, you can lease a developer system. But OSX86 is illegal.... Sorry again!
