Hi guys - I've been running Mavericks on a 15" rMBP, and since it's an upgrade from a Macbook I bought in 2007 running Snow Leopard it's a huge upgrade and generally I'm loving it. However in the month or so that I've had the machine I've noticed a few persistent bugs that occur when waking the machine from sleep that I wanted to see if anyone else shares.

Firstly, and perhaps most annoyingly is that it often loses wifi signal. It just won't be able to see any wifi signal unless I turn wifi off and on again on the machine. I think this might be related to seeing two networks to connect to at the same time, because it tends to happen in one building (where I have two networks I could connect to) more than another (where I just have one). All three routers are less than 3 years old.

Also, I occasionally lose sound. iTunes will look like it's playing a track, but there will be no audio. Sometimes this is just in iTunes and i have to reboot iTunes to resolve it, or it's the whole machine and I have to reboot the whole machine. These occur less frequently but are still annoying.

These are the only problems I've faced in what is otherwise a glorious machine. Does anyone know if these might be more related to my hardware than Mavericks itself?

Yes I have this problem w/a new retina MBP w/mavericks. Often after sleep there is no connectivity. The wifi shows full signal but it won't connect to the net. Iphones work fine as does an older MBP w/ 10.8
Turning wifi off then on restores connectivity.
There are many posts on Apples forum about it.
I submitted a developer bug report, was asked to send wifi diagnostics & did.
Apple's wifi group knows about it but Applecare specialists don't seem to.
I was told not to expect a fix till mar or apr.
Sent an email to Tim Cook's email address, I was so disturbed at the seeming lack of priority to fix this.
Please report your experience & send Cook a complaint email!
