Comment: James Blunt possesses soulful sounds reminiscent of Elton John and Rod Stewart kicked up with youthful vocals.
"Your Beautiful" seems to encapsulate nearly everything about James Blunt. I highly recommend buying the whole album!

Interesting tune. Lyrics of a fantasy we all dream of, somewhat haunting with the music. I just got the one song the other day and am going to research more about the artist.

It is somewhat annoying... and yet, I can't help listening to it. It's like hypnotic or something. Plus, I'm a sucker for unrequited love songs.

And the rest of his album. I can't stand any of it. I hear it everywhere!

I heard "You're Beautiful" being played at a funeral for a young lady cop that was covered on the local news. It seemed odd.

The f-bomb dropped right smack in the middle of the song lowers the appeal. First time I heard it, I nearly had a heart attack.

It's the same with The Sounds "Dying To Say This To You" album. Many great tracks, but so many f words, it ruins the album. Guess I ignored the explicit warning. :o

Yeah, actually I was going to make a mix CD for my Neice with an acoustic version of that song on it where the F-word isn't bleeped, but I guess that's not a good idea. She's 12 and my Sister probably wouldn't appreciate it. Too bad, it's pretty sappy but would have been perfect. Maybe I'll fire up GarageBand and attempt to "fix" it.

It took me a while to hear the words of REM's "Star Me Kitten" too...

I have to disagree with the majority here and say I absolutely love this song, along with the rest of his album.

Anybody heard Weird Al's parody? Links to "You're Pitiful" all over his website. (http://weirdal.com/)

I was going to suggest that too. The best quote has to be "You never had a date, that you couldn't inflate." lol

Agreed. Weird Al's parody is pretty funny though.

It's a good song, but criminally overplayed to the point to where I can't really stand it.
