If you did not like Diablo 3, Path Of Exile is the way to go! No auction house, really CRAZY amount of possible character customization with the passive skill tree, play coop, seven classes and hundreds of skills.

I'm playing it since a few weeks and it is a lot of fun. Currently a MAC port is planned but not available yet!

The best: It is absolutely free to play! No pay-to-win-********, the microtransaction shop only offers visual changes to your appearance.

Is the final version out yet ? I've played the open beta for some time. It lacks a bit of visuals but it is a decent action/rpg. Especially the huge talent trees for each class are lots of fun.

As for the Mac support, they've been saying that for some time now, but nothing yet.

Yes final is out since one or two months i think.
I like the visuals as they are much darker then D3!

Thanks I might give it a new try, then (since I assume all my beta chars will now be wiped).

I hope they really deliver the goods with an OS X version. I would certainly check it out then.

When I played the beta, I used a wine wrapper and it was just fine. But I hope they will get a Mac client out soon.

One can argue about the playstyle and the setting, but Path Of Exile exhibits one of the best gameplay designs I have ever experienced. Its quite amazing how they managed to make a flexible and really deep RPG system where all things make sense. Can't comment on the balance though.
