Recently I switched my first-generation Time Capsule settings to use a 2.4ghz radio signal rather than the 5ghz signal, which I had previously adopted due to wireless interference in my apartment. (The switch back to 2.4ghz is due to Kindle compatibility.) When I did this, I noticed that my iPhone no longer has Airplay support through my Apple TV, which is connected by wire to my Time Capsule. What might have happened? Thank you.

If 5ghz had interference issues, why not just change the channel to combat the issue?

The interference was on the 2.4ghz frequency, so I had switched to 5ghz. I'm back to 2.4ghz, which results in a slow connection, but I can still connect.

I rebooted the ATV. I still cannot use Airplay. However, I can see it with the Remote app.

I actually just bought a new Airport Extreme and will have it set up in a couple days. I'll get back in touch if I still can't get it to work then. Thanks.

Can't the TC run both 2.4GHz and 5GHz at the same time? Change the channel of the 2.4ghz to where you have no more issues. And leave the 5 ghz alone.
