I don't have any experience personal with FootBall Manager so I can't say for sure. Looking at the system requirements it does not look good.
System Requirements: MAC
OSX 10.2
600MHz Power PC G4 (1.8GHz G5 recommended)
256MB RAM
1024x768 Monitor
650MB HDD space

Download the demo from here (http://www.sigames.com/) and see how well that runs on your iMac this will give you a good idea whether the game is playable on your system or not.

Sorry to say but it absolutely won't run on a G3 iMac. I run it on my iBook (see sig) and the speed is only just tolerable.

As my G4 struggles to play it in anything like an acceptable fashion, the experience on a G3 iMac is going to be insufferable. The fact that it recommends a G5 says all you need to know.

wouldnt bother with your iMac g3 even if you manage to get it to run it will be a slug and utterly tedious to play,

May I add a comment, although it's about FM2006 (6.02) running on an imac g5 (see signature). For some reason, it runs much better than FM 2005 on the same machine.

Oh, and I think should take system recommendations seriously...you might be wasting your money otherwise.
