Such recognition is deserved for Jonathan Ive since he has played an enormous role in Apple's resurgence since 1997.

CBE stands for 'Commander of the British Empire'. Perhaps it should be changed to 'Computer Boffin Extraordinaire'. :D

I wonder if his head will get as large as Steve-O's now he's got his gong?
Or if he brings his PB along when he collects it?

:p

It's quite funny that shortly after the Queen gets an iPod, she awards it's designer! It says something, right? You can imagine the convo:

"Geoffrey! Geoffrey darling! I must commend the maker of this device, who made it, Geoffrey?"

"I don't know Ma'am. I shall find out for you right away!"

"No need Geoffrey! I've found this inscription on the back. He must have signed it. Remind me in the morning to add 'Regina' to the list."

 Gone are they days when these honors actually meant something. When you consider Bill Gates was KBEed and god knows how many actors. Just seems wrong IMHO.

As much as we all "like" dear old Bill he has changed the World.

For that he gets his award.

(And also the odd buck or 2)
