I've been searching through the threads and haven't seen any sleeves that offer decent drop protection or weatherproof sealing.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions for this type of sleeve. I've got a belkin sheer shield and a Smart Cover but don't want take my ipad out of the house without something like this type of sleeve. Just for peace of mind really. Keeping rain/snow from getting in and maybe some cushion for potential 3-4 foot falls.

Most of the google searches turned up sleeves incompatible with the air:(

I'm open to any and all types/brands of sleeves even if they're not designed specifically for the air.

Thanks to all that respond! :)

I'm assuming you're asking about Lifeproof? I haven't heard or seena nything from them regarding the new Ipad Air and Ipad mini retina. They're supposedly working on them both and we should see something soon this year.

There are a few out there that are tough but I'm not sure they are weatherproof. Lifeproof is the only one that is waterproof and protects your phone/ipad from drops. I'm still waiting on their Mini retina version.

Not exactly, more or less just a sleeve I can put my air in that has cushion and won't let the normal elements like rain and snow in.

I had the Trident Case, it's pretty nice, and not as expensive as the Otterbox.

Rickshaw has waterproof sleeves. I just ordered a sleeve (not waterproof) a few days ago but hasn't shipped yet. Looks interesting because you can customize your own colors and they are attractive sleeves. I may break down and order a bag soon, too.

The only thing I can think of that is weatherproof are those zip-lock type sleeves/cases, but they don't offer any drop protection. I also don't know how much protection you're looking for and if something like a Pelican hardback would interest you: http://www.pelican.com/cases_detail.php?Case=i1065

Thank you for the post. Funny enough, I was between one of the pelican cases and a sleeve but the pelicans are way more than I probably need. Some are bomb proof, lol. I ended up buying this through amazon since it's not available in the U.S.
