Why does Apple feel the need to make shortcuts secret? I think I've seen this list before somewhere, but they should be easily accessible from within Safari IMHO. Many of them are listed in Safari Help, but not all. And the html mentioned in the article is only in English; those who don't speak English well are out of luck I guess.

It seems that every single one of these macsupport.ca articles repeats stuff that's been posted right here in the MR forums a billion times. Worse, this article is only a copy and paste of the contents of the URL in its first paragraph! What a waste of a Web site.

up/down arrow key Scroll page vertically by a small amount (more than click on scroll bar arrow)
left/right arrow key Scroll page horizontally by a small amount (more than click on scroll bar arrow)
option-arrow keys Scroll page by a screenful, minus a small overlap
Command-up/down arrow key Scroll to top-left or bottom-left corner of web page
spacebar Scroll page down by a screenful, minus a small overlap
Delete key Go Back
Shift-Delete key Go Forward
Nothing secret about these. I use them ALL the time when surfing with my PB.

The other shortcuts to open download windows, activity viewer, etc, I don't bother memorizing, since so infrequently used.

I do like that most, if not all, are listed on one page. much easier than flipping though threads, magazines, etc. Of course trying to memorize those as well as the shortcuts for Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Freehand, etc can get quite confusing for me.

I tried to make the URL a hyperlink but for some reason it doesn't work when clicked in safari if it is active as a hyperlink. Copying and Pasting does however.

These aren't very secret. Some of them are blatently obvious, some of them are useless, and you'll figure out the rest in about a week of use. I mean, when you get
Delete key Delete selected bookmarks it's beyond a joke.

No digg.

It is, however, slightly strange that the HTML page was created and was not put in the Safari help. It would've taken two minutes to do, right? :o

Good point. On a positive note, the useful ones (and those that aren't completely obvious) are included in Help. :)

It would've taken two minutes to do, right? :oThere's a command under the Debug menu to open it, if you have that enabled. Why Apple chose not to put it under the Help menu is a mystery; they do it (inconsistently) with a few other apps (e.g. iTunes).

Ideally a command to view keyboard and menu shortcuts would be standard under the Help menu of every app (with some exceptions), certainly at least Apple's own.

This would be one of those nice touches, no? Put it in the Help or the Safari / <app> menu? Yes. And ah, thanks, I had forgotten it was in the Debug menu, but you are quite correct.
