I thought they always did this, a free full membership for one year, they certainly did this when I registered a year and half ago

If you have certain software that's ready for enhancements or bug fixes, you can add that software to your watch list and be informed by e-mail when a newer version becomes available.

I signed up earlier today. It looks like a good deal, even if you don't use most of it.
