I have a 5G 30GB iPod, and so far it's working great. However, at night when I'm done listening to it, I pause it, hold the play/pause button until it turns off, put the hold switch on, and place it on my bookshelf which means it's at about room temperature. I know usually when I turn the hold switch off the iPod turns back on, but leaving it overnight, it doesn't turn on until I turn the hold switch off AND press the menu button. Is this normal, or should I be worried?

Yep, that sounds normal enough to me. My 3G iPod is the same – if I put it to sleep and it's left for a while it goes into a deeper version of its sleep mode, if you will.

Alright, thank you! I've been very happy with my iPod, and this was pretty much my only concern 😛
