Could be worse...somewhere, there are people at a store you go to, and you tell them you want an iPod, and they'll say to you, "We have all kinds of iPods. Do you want the one by Sony, the one by Creative, or the one by Panasonic?" At which point you kick them in the shins. :(

But I had been told that online music sales dropped 0.5% over the last quarter, and the online music sales were going to implode and it was all that mean old Steve Jobs's fault for making people buy their music instead of renting it, or for not raising prices, or something!

Because the idea that music sales dropped during the segment right before Christmas as people were out buying $300 gifts for people (including iPods) and music gift certificates would, I don't know, explain a one half of one percent drop in sales - right before they exploded as everybody redeemed those cards and filled those yummy iPods full of music!

Come on - don't tell me the music industry told me a big fib!
