Hehe. A bit big to be putting into a jacket pocket, especially if one were to be jumping up and down dancing.

Ahhh, Jeff Goldblum, you know I've never been able to see him the same way since I saw the movie Fly.

Was that Jeff Goldblum? I don't think so. Or was it that the guy in the iPod add reminded you of him? I don't ever remember seeing that add. The first ones that I remember had the colored backgrounds with silhouettes of dancers. I still have my 1G 5GB iPod and love it. I borrowed a friends Nano for a trip. I like the new features, but it seemed too delicate to me. I have never placed mine in my pocket, other than when I visit the lavatory on the plane.

The actor wasn't but the voiceover was. He did the voiceover just about all the Apple ads at one point. Really miss those ads, everytime I hear his voice I immediatly think of those 3 steps to the internet ads for the original iMac.

Don't remember the ad much (Apple Australia never advertises on free-to-air, and it only started advertising on pay TV with the silhouette iPod ads, and even they're once a blue moon :mad::mad:). I do remember my first days with my first gen 5G and the attention it got in my car at school :D (I also remember the bloody AU$900 layout as well :eek:). Still limping along despite being full to capacity and with a 'leaky' battery (can't seem to hold charge for more than 3 days, despite not being used whatsoever).

I remember the ad. What year was that? And I guess that was a G3 iBook he was working on. Interesting. The ad seemed a lot kewler back then for soem reason, though the guy can't dance or move worth beans. No grace -- I remember subconsciously thinking --- "Oh they hired that guy because he's just an average geek without graceful movement enjoying his music."

Jeff Goldblum? Didn't sound like his voice to me.

I was having the same issues with my 1G. I would charge it up Sunday night, not use it all week, and the battery is dead before Friday. I just replaced the battery for about $30US. Now I can play and pause it all week long without ever recharging.

You probably have never used one. LOL. :p

Let's see... UI navigation was slow, no song ratings, poor battery life, scratch-prone plastic, heavy and thick, lousy screen latency. Can't play audiobooks... I could go on.

As others have said.... well see for yourself

::EDIT::
BTW The song is "Take California" by Propellerheads. Still my #1 most played song on my 15gb iPod :)
