I've had the same iHome dock since when I had the iPhone 4S. I bought the APPLE cable adapter from the Apple Store to use with my iHome so that I can use my iPhone 5 with it. Every time I plug in my device using the APPLE cable adapter I get numerous messages saying that the accessory may not be supported and thus fails to charge my iPhone. I know that this is an iOS 7 problem as iOS 7 blocks unauthorized cables, however I am using an adapter made by Apple and I don't understand why it won't work. Is there anything I can do?

Mine does the same thing. I ended up buying a dock from Apple.

It will also give the unsupported message if you use the (Lightning to 30pin converter)+(30pin sync cable)+(wall charger).

It's a little annoying that the $30 cable doesn't work right with iOS 7

iOS 7 checks for authorized Lighting accessories, but since the dock was made prior to Lighting it will never pass.
