I don't know if this right place but this is where you discuss non mac related stuff and this has nothing to do with macs. But if this should be moved to the marketplace, mods move it there.

I have been looking for a manx kitten (speficially a manx not just any tailess cat) and, I was wondering if any here had a litter of kittens that they are trying to sell or give away or knew anyone who did. I am loacted in the panhandel of florida (in case anyone wants to do local pick-ups. I would like to get a kitten for free but would be willing to pay up to $50 (if it is purebred) and for shipping. Let me know if know of anything

You might prefer to find pets locally, by talking to shelters or checking a local classified ad system like Craigslist Pensacola (http://pensacola.craigslist.org/).

May I ask how you would prefer the cat shipped? Surely not with FedEx...maybe UPS?

:) I was kidding...after reading your signature...

Anyway, good luck in the cat search. When I get older I want one of those cats with no tail OR fur. They're sweet!

Apparently you can ship them in the wheel well of a car...

Alas, I have tried searching the humane societies and animal shelters but there none with manxs close enought to drive and for some reason they don't like to ship.:(

I have a Manx kitten that someone bought me and I don't want him. I would say he is 6 weeks old. I can get his shots and ship the kitten to whoever wants him. I need to sell him for what he paid for it, pluss shipping charges, and shots.

How do you intend to "ship" the cat?

Your quote made me google-curious:

Seems like, basically, there are companies who will arrange shipment, and/or you contact an airline, bring the cat to the airport, and someone else picks up the animal at the arrival airport.

OK so you want a purebred Manx , which is a bastard of a cat variety to breed due to the genetics involved for free- or $50 ?!? add another zero to that amount and you might get a real tail-less Manx not just a Stumpie.
Sometimes shelters will have them but they are usually adult and not truly tail-less. If you really want a good one go to a reputable breeder not a puppy-mill type and fork over a nice amount of cash.

Sorry if I sound mean but it is unreasonable.
It like saying I want a 2 year old racing thouroughbred for free.
