I'm looking to get a new audio interface for my Mac (Mini i7, SSD, 8GB) and to be future proof with regard to number of inputs (might occasionally record my band live or real drum sets) I figured I might as well spend the extra buck or two and go with the Pro 40.
It looks perfect for my needs. BUT - I saw a bunch of threads of people having issues with the drivers/firmware on that thing when connected to a Mac/Mavericks.
Now, I know that we need to take with a grain of salt what some-guy-on-the-internet has to say about things like that. Audio and user errors go hand in hand. Other stuff might be going on and so on. But some of it sounded credible, even including driver repair/update procedures that can only be accomplished with software that Focusrite support would email (!) to affected folks. That seems pretty odd for a potentially common (?) issue.
Any one here using that interface and what are your experiences?
