Nothing really catches my eye there, sorry :(, also I bought it out of a fetish you could say, and with my PB I really don't need two comps, although this is just a feeler so idk if I'll even sell/trade for sure.

I paid $349 then I added a brand new unopened battery ($80), a new keyboard ($15) and a 512mb memory upgrade ($90) and an Airport Card ($120).

Yeah, if a mac user wants to get their mother started on computers/macs/internet, etc. Many people do it.

This comes with Tiger Disks right?

was this iBook subject to a motherboard replacement during the apple recall a few years ago?

This iBook comes with no Discs, I will install a clean copy of Tiger but unless you have a license you're legally required to erase the hardrive.

This revision of 800MHz's were not part of this recall due to the Next-Gen codenames motherboards in them (leading up to the iBook G4)

yes they were, I used to own one, and after four motherboards replaced I negotiated a new machine. I would only consider this if it had been but either it hasn't or amacgenius simply doesn't know ... it may be one of the machines that has not exhibited the issue but most iBook G3's qualify for replacement not just the ones leading up to the G4. I don't know if yours is but the only way I would believe you is to check the SN against that page.

and the software thing is way shady and form of piracy in my book because it basically either means you expect the buyer to pirate or purchase $120 disks

amacgenius never really responded ... his friend did. I would be happy if you PM'd me the S/N or sent me a screen cap of the S/N in the about mac dialog ...

Nobody ever asked, but I included the original system restore discs. I would have answered any inquiries. This is a feeler (and software DOES effect the value of a machine, in this case a new mac user would have to invest quite a bit more), its perfectly alright to ask about disks and software in any thread because its illegal to sell a computer here with pirated software ( check the rules). I'm also sure that you noticed that it had jaguar installed on it, which was not the current OS at the time, Panther was, but being ethical I decided to uninstall the panther because i planned to use it on my new machine.

Perhaps skoker, amacgenius could answer the questions in his thread please?

I don't even know why I'm responding to this, but skoker can answer something if I don't get to it, he knows as much if not more about this iBook than I do.

Thats fine, I did not know you two had that type of policy because it seems rather strange but I do not feel like I'm getting any straight answers so I withdraw my interest. I wish you the best of luck but I can't say avoiding so many questions inspires any trust for future dealings.

edit: I went through my photos for that auction / listing that was referenced and the discs were clearly depicted in the photos and auction on eBay. These were removed from the listing because I did not need people using up bandwidth in old searches but I certainly have the pictures and i know I made an honest deal

I've decided for now I'm keeping the iBook, it's not worth it going through this junk just to sell it.

It's also worth noting that (even those it's not for sale anymore) amacgenius has at least 6 licenses of Tiger that I know of that he could include.

Don't be, you didn't have anything to do with this, and by the way because you were interested, no it is exempt from the Logic Board thing.
