Getting my Hard Drives to display how much space they have

Simple question here (I think), but I can't figure it out. I've noticed that some people have hard drives, ipods etc. display Their capacity and how much space they have left. How do I do this? I can't find it for the life of me.
 
All you need to do is Control+click (aka right click) on the desktop, and choose 'Show View Options', and then check 'Show item info'.
