Is there a way to download an iOS update ONCE and install on several devices to save bandwidth?

Ok. How can I do it for same devices?

google iOS 7.1 download and download the ispw file for that specific device. Once its downloaded, hold down on the option key (Mac) or the shift key (Windows) and click the “Check for Update” button in the Summary pane. Browse to the .ipsw file you downloaded and select it.

iTunes saves the IPSW when you update a device, so if all of your devices are the same model, iTunes will reuse that file.
