Hi,

After recently getting a Nano I've been using my 20G iPod as a home stereo unit. The speakers I have also charge the iPod so the battery is always fully charged and not being used, I think (the speakers run on AC). How does this affect it? If negatively, what can I do to improve matters?

Thanks.

I'm in the same boat with my 4G. I calibrate the battery every month or so by leaving it playing overnight (on an iTrip with maximum volume) to flatten it, then plug it back in and it starts charging. The purpose of calibrating batteries is so that the firmware knows how much the cell can store and doesn't over or undercharge accordingly. It's the overcharging that can potentially be damaging. :)
