View Full Version : I think my car is haunted

Alright.. the other day my friends were in the car with me... Dana was in the front, and Cory was in the backseat behind him on the passenger side. We passed a friend of mine on the road and later she asked who the girl with the ponytail sitting behind me was. I said the only person sitting in the car was Cory, who can not be mistaken for a girl, and that was the last I saw of it. Then, the three of us were out again last night, everyone in the same seats, when one of my other friends (who does not know the first friend from a few days ago) passed me on the Post Road. I just talked to him tonight and he asked me who the girl in the ponytail was sitting behind me. The two people who said this don't know each other and couldn't of exchanged the information to scare me. I'm really afraid to get in the car to go to school.. I'm not going to tell anyone and if a third person sees this girl, this car is going off a cliff and I'll buy a new one.

Instead of sending it off a cliff - sell it to a parapsychologist, perhaps a lonely one who likes girls with ponytails. That's very disturbing.
Hope she is friendly.

I'd keep the car as long as the manifestation does not become physical. You can have some great stories to tell passengers who don't get scared of that sort of thing.

I found it in the bargain news, the man I bought it from was ~50 and said it was his mom's car but she was getting older and he didn't want her driving.

Is there anyone who can run a detailed background check with a VIN number? I'd really like to know if there were any major accidents.

I'm afraid when I tell my girlfriend she's going to think I'm trying to cover for having another girl in the car. Although, the kid I passed last night told me he saw her when they passed me, but when I passed them she was gone

try to get another person (unconnected to any of the others) to ride with you, and see if they say anything...

I'd love to hear you explaining that to the officer who pulls you over when you're in the car-pool lane. Does she put in for gas?

Put a cat on the back seat, with some (cat)food.
If it runs straight out, you're in trouble...

oooooooo, scary.

Maybe it's just a coincidence that both your friends saw a similar car with someone who had a ponytail inside. Or it's a Ghost!

"Who ya gonna call? GHOSTBUSTERS!"

did she look like this?:

Seriously though, I think your friends might be messing with you. I know a few practical jokers who think this sort of thing is funny.

Maybe they're working together so you'll get so freaked out that you sell your car and one of them will buy it.

Or it's a coincidence, or you have a ghost. I'd love to see a ghost. Just to know if they really exist or not. :p

i think your friends might be having some fun with you. a dark but funny prank to see if they can convince you to hurl your car off a cliff or something.
i really wouldn't worry...

i don't think this girl ever wore a ponytail ......

I'm not going to tell anyone and if a third person sees this girl, this car is going off a cliff and I'll buy a new one.

Press for more details on what this "girl" looked like. Were you driving the same stretch of road each time? Are you having anything strange happen when at home?

Not that I'm some sort of New Age expert or anything, but you could try burning a white candle in the care (while parked) if you're that freaked out.

I'll probably get flamed into oblivion but, if you believe in ghosts and that sort of thing, investigate it. I would.

AGH that's the face I've been imagining is in my back seat. These two people do not know each other, and the second person to see it is my best friend/next door neighbor who I've known my entire life. He is just as scared of this as I was. I drove today and I didn't feel an eerie feeling like I would if I thought a ghost was around, I actually felt safe in the car. I'm actually thinking this might be a good spirit. I never really believed in this sort of thing before but I really am starting to now. I have a religious coin/keychain thing of St. Michael that my grandmother gave me in the car.

Edit: I just went downstairs and found a picture of my great grandmother who died when I was 6. I was her first great grandchild (and only until she passed and then my sister was born) and I do remember her always hugging me and giving me snacks and loving me as a little boy. In the picture, she had brown hair and a ponytail, and I asked Tony if that was the person he saw and he honestly said yes. I really believe my grandmother is traveling with me to keep me safe, and it actually does make me feel better thinking that instead of a bad ghost. Plus, a bad ghost wouldn't be able to be in a vehicle with a religious relic in it, right?

Err, yes. Common knowledge.

Seriously, bad ghosts? You've been watching too many movies.

Indeed, all ghosts are bad; the good ones get to rest some place nice.
Sry if this comes over rude. Couldn't help it... ;-)

i don't believe in ghosts exactly.. but I do believe that there are things in this world that we don't comprehend nevermind come to understand. I'm just gonna leave this at one of those things
