Really tired of this, whenever I unplug my external monitor from my late 2013 rMBP the display preferences reset and I have to go back into the settings and reposition the display. I've tried logging into root and setting the settings and logging back out because I heard that that will save the settings permanently, but even that failed.
It never saves the settings and I'm real tired of it because I often disconnect and reconnect my external monitors.
