Do you find your Dock crashes more often with Adium?

Hi folks I have noticed over the past two weeks. My dock has a tendency to restart. I was thinking it might have been too many widgets but I deffo think its Adium (latest version). I had it heavily customised but have now reverted to oys defaults to see if that makes a difference.
 
I've had Dock and Dashboard crashes everytime I tried to download something with my dial up conexion... but this was solve by going to Terminal and typing killall Dock

This is something that I've learned here... Mad Jew told me to do it and it worked fine, now my dock and dashboard are working great.😀

BTW be sure not to have to many widgets open at the same time if you're not going to use them... this may cause the crash as well😛

FYI once you killall Dock, you need to restart and your DOCK will be as it was when you bought your computer, that means that you'll have to customize it again as it was. 😱
 
What might work is deleting the dock.plist and see if this resolves your problems. (This will reset all your dock prefs)
 
I'm a mac newbie (like within the past week or two) and have yet to have adium cause any problems at all. Other similar programs (i.e. Fire) have been screwy, but *knock on wood* nothing with Adium. 🙂
 
i find that things sometimes get slowed down when heavily using Safari, Mail and Adium. i think it's something to do with webkit... they all use that. if one of those apps beach balls on me i've usually gotta quit them all.

but not too much trouble with the Dock here. at least as it relates to Adium... (been acting all funny since the 10.4.4 upgrade...) 😡
