Hi, Sold and thank you, my iMac that was bought August 30, 2005 with the following specs:

17" Rev.B.....NO DEAD Pixels
2.0 GHz G5
1.5 GB DDR SDRAM (512 stock, 1gig stick Crucial)
160 GB HDD
SuperDrive DL (8x)
Bluetooth and AE
Comes with all discs, cables, keyboard and original box. iLife 05' is with this as well.
This is in excellent shape as the reason for me selling is I really could use a 20-24" screen for what I want to continue doing.

I have feedback on http://www.heatware.com under artfuldodger as well as a few people here at MR (jayeskreezy, r6girl, onizuka, cr2sh, ebook, jonasmac and devilot76 to name a few as there are more just look under my name).

As of now I would only ship to the Continental US, but if info is given I'll check on duty/shipping cost to Canada and the UK. I live near Buffalo, NY and local pickups welcome.

I will accept PayPal orders only and it will ship as soon as payment clears.

Send me a PM, post here or email me with any Q's.
All I ask is if you would give feedback once the transaction has completed as I will do the same.

Hi, I'm putting out a serious feeler for my iMac that was bought August 30, 2005 with the following specs:

17" Rev.B.....NO DEAD Pixels
2.0 GHz G5
1.5 GB DDR SDRAM (512 stock, 1gig stick Crucial)
160 GB HDD
SuperDrive DL (8x)
Bluetooth and AE
Comes with all discs, cables, keyboard and original box. iLife 05' is with this as well and I'll add "The Macintosh iLife '05" book with DVD.

This is in excellent shape as the reason for my feeler is I really could use a 20" screen for what I want to continue doing. So that means a 20" iMac or something more. However no trades please.

About 1000. Due to the iMac G5 Rev C and the iMac Core Duo

That's what I was hoping as to sell it here rather then on eBay for that price.

skoker,
I'm next to the 290 in Kenmore, really across from two cemeteries on Delware Ave. right off the 290.

I sold the exact same system back in October except I had 2GB of RAM, Applecare, and iWork. And I only got $1200 for it so $1000 seems a little high. I wouldn't pay $1000 for it when I can get a new one for $1200 and spend maybe $100 upgrading the RAM. There has also been 2 iMac revisions since Rev B (which you pointed out).

It would seem Apple has a high price as well then, less ram and both can get AppleCare as well
But thanks for the serious input and an offer ;)

I think there only has been 1 revision to the imac g5 since the one in question here. The latest revision is not a G5 :D

In the rev c of the G5, you will see that the 17's are no longer 2GHZ, they actually are only available in 1.9Ghz.
Now, lets talk about the windows iMac err I mean intel iMac.
Its intel, so you should not see huge value loss on current PPC macs for a while because there will be alot of programs that wont be able to go over to universal code for some time. Just look how OS9 bootable machines still hold a decent value. And just like niners, there will be a good large group of people who will have to be forced into the intel world and as long as good used ppc machines are available, they will buy them.

Didnt mean to crap the thread, just wanted to stick up for a good machine.

Perhaps I was taking a bit of my frustration out on you. I apologize. I was pretty ticked when all I could get out of my 4 month old $2000 iMac was $1200 back in October because a "new" iMac had just come out at the exact same time.

Seriously, I would say yours is worth about $900. If you throw in shipping, maybe someone will pay $1000.

Understandable, as I'm not happy that I could really use the bigger size screen and not just replace that but the whole unit.
But hey if someone wants to talk offers I'm all ears :)

Lowered price to $950...Again no trades, sorry 24" Dell I'd love to have but I wouldn't have anything to use it with or I would've made a trade.
Hope that helps ;)

Does this come with a wired KB and mighty mouse, a wired KB and old Apple USB mouse, or a BT kb/mouse? Hmmm...tempting...as you know I lust after an iMac. ;)

[EDIT: Since this is not a feeler anymore, I won't post a public critique of the pricing. ;)]

Gah, Apple releasing iMacs with core duos has thrown such a wrench in my world! Oh, the humanity! :D

Well, it comes with the wired keyboard and the mouse is in question
I use a MS wireless notebook laser mouse 6000 with this that I "could" part with for the right person ;)

I know, I know, I went with a price match with Apple on this (refurb price) but I have the extra Ram and it is still under the first year warranty (Aug. 29, 2006).

 Well, I'm definitely not the right person! Keep that thing away from me!

Hmmm, I'm still thinking about your mac, although I hope you find a deal and get a sale so you can move on to your 20"-er. I want the Apple BT set, so I would either have to sacrifice my mouse to my iMac and buy a new kb, or buy both....

If nothing else, though, here's a bump and a good luck! :)

Sorry, I need a bigger screen and I don't need it to be portable.

I've had a few pm's about this and no it doesn't include iLife '06, I have it but not sure about including it as I really like it so far, sorry.

After some thought about this I'll give it a try...I would trade for a 20" iMac, Rev.B (would like or Rev.C) and some cash as I'd just end up buying one anyway.

The iMac has to be in Excellent condition, no dead or stuck pixels
You can keep your keyboard and mouse as I like mine and I'm sure you like yours ;) It also needs to have similar specs i.e. ram, BT, AE and so on.

Let me know and we can talk :)
