Hello

I'm thinking of selling 2.816GB of DDR 400 RAM, the kind of RAM used in the pre-PCI express G5s. It's 4 x 512MB ($45 shipped each), and 3 x 256MB ($25 shipped each).

If you're interested in any of the sticks send me a PM.

your math sucks. ;)

that's 2.75 GB, or 2 GB and 768 MB. bear in mind that there's 1024 MB in one GB.

still... sending PM now.

1024 + 1024 + 768 = 2 816

Plus, I'm on no sleep and wasn't sure if 2.75 or 2.816 would be considered correct.

Looking forward to hearing you..

rick, you got it right.

that's an acceptable way to express ram, Blue.

just go look at apple.com on the iBooks. when you spec one out with 1.25 GB of ram, they say 1.256, because 1024 is so close to 1000, it's practically the same thing you're saying

either one makes sense.

2,816 is completely correct... exactly right, because yes there is 1024 per gb...
