Good VCD Ripping App?

Does anybody know a good app to rip a VCD (video CD)? I tried VCDgearX, but it always puts the audio out of sync with the picture.
 
Finder.

VCDs are just MPEGs. Find the largest .dat file on the VCD, drag it to your desktop and rename it .mpg. Voila.

Or am I missing something? Can you get encrypted VCDs?

No, you're correct Void. VCDs are just MPEG-1 video files on CD. SVCDs are MPEG-2 video files on CD. To my knowledge, neither is encrypted.
