I have been having problems with the mini-displayport-to-hdmi-adapter on 2 generations of MBA.

The signal cuts out intermittently - just looking at getting a replacement from Apple but the reviews are poor:

http://store.apple.com/uk/product/HA824ZM/A/belkin-mini-displayport-to-hdmi-adapter?

and

http://store.apple.com/us/product/HA824ZM/A/belkin-mini-displayport-to-hdmi-adapter?fnode=51

- any suggestions appreciated

The family uses it in this mode so much I have thought of replacing either with a MBP which has HDMI or a (gulp) Windows laptop.

I have the belkin model in your first link and it's been as good as gold.

Does anyone have any experience with this Monoprice one? The price is certainly lower than the one they sell at the Apple Store.

Edit:

Actually I see the port is actually labelled with the Thunderbolt symbol on my MBA - I had thought it was old enough to still be a Mini DisplayPort. So perhaps this Monoprice one is the correct model?
