Okay, I have no clue why, but iTunes keeps opening. I close it and after a few minutes it opens up again.

What the hell is going on?

Do you have the iTunes dashboard widget open?

I've had a similar problem for over a year. At 8.45pm each day without fail iTunes opens. Haven't got a clue why. Makes no difference which user account is being used. Just weird.

You haven't got Itunes set as an alarm to go off at that time, have you....?

Do you have the iTunes dashboard widget open?

This is, by far, the most likely reason

Tee hee...if you have some rather mischievious friends they may have set that up behind your back...I do it to my brothers cell phone, my parents computer, etc. Oh yeah, I'm a brat:cool:

I have the same problem on one on my Macs; I have the iTunes remote for Konfabulator open on the one where iTunes keeps opening, the other has no iTunes widgets and iTunes stays closed.

Thanks, but it wasn't any of those. I installed some updates, and for some reason it just stopped. How odd...

And how do you set iTunes as an alarm?

Try killing the itunes helper, and deleting it form the startup items. Maybe it's launching because it is set to be the default for internet audio.
