I have MBP using Mavericks. Use Mail app and at mac mail address.

If I buy an iMac, can I share all emails on both devices?
Will sub folders, presently on MBP be visible on iMac?

I've called Applecare: one advisor says yes. A later call to AC and an advisor said No!

Thanks.

If your folders and mail are all in the "cloud", then yes. If you create folders in Mail that are "local" and move mail into those, then no.

Thanks for the reply.
So can I move all On My Mac folders (and sub folders) to the Cloud? If so, I guess I'd need a lot of storage space in Cloud.

Whats the next step?

If you have a .mac.com address, you already use iCloud mail. The mail is stored on Apple's servers. Whatever is on iCloud.com will also be on all your devices that connect to it - including folders and emails. The folder structure will be identical. Apple calls it "synching" your email.
