iPod selecting by artist within a playlist?

As far as I know, that's not possible. You have to scroll through the song titles untill you find your song.
But maybe you can let iTunes organize your songs inside the playlist by artist's name instead of song title. You would have to do that inside iTunes, of course. I haven't tested it though; I have to charge my Pod first.

You can.
